Consular desk

The paperwork, explained by people who've done it

Korean immigration rules and Kenyan consular process, written for Kenyans in Korea — with the official source linked and the date a volunteer last checked it. And when reading isn't enough, a desk that gives you a reference number instead of silence.

We are not the embassy. The Kenya-Korea Hub is a volunteer community organisation. We can explain process, check your documents against the list, and forward a case to the mission — but we don't issue passports or visas, and no answer here overrides the Embassy of Kenya in Seoul or Korean immigration.

How the desk works

Four steps, no black box

The complaint we heard about the old site was never that the information was wrong. It was that emailing it went nowhere.

  1. 1

    You raise it

One form. Who you are, what you need, and anything you've already tried.

  2. 2

    You get a reference

By email, immediately. KCK-2026-0042, yours to quote or look up.

  3. 3

    Someone owns it

A named volunteer picks it up. Status changes are stamped with who and when.

  4. 4

    It closes

Resolved, or forwarded to the embassy with what they need. Either way you're told.

The desk is open

You don't need an account to raise one — but signing in means every request you've ever raised sits in one place.
