Emergency travel document

A single-use document to travel to Kenya when your passport is lost, stolen or expired and you cannot wait for a renewal.

Booking
Genuine emergencies are seen without an appointment. Call first.

Not yet verified. Treat this as a starting point rather than the final word.

Rules change without notice. Always confirm with the Embassy of Kenya in Seoul or Korean immigration before you travel or pay a fee.

What to bring

Originals plus one photocopy of each, unless noted otherwise.

  • Police report, if the passport was lost or stolen
  • Any proof of Kenyan citizenship you still hold
  • Copy of the lost passport, if you have one
  • Confirmed flight itinerary
  • Passport photographs

How it goes

  1. Report the loss to the Korean police and get the report.
  2. Contact the embassy immediately — do not wait until the day of travel.
  3. Attend in person with what you have.
  4. Collect the document.

If you are travelling within days, call the embassy's emergency line rather than emailing.
